After a grand yet close-knit wedding ceremony in Chandigarh on November 15, newly married couple Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa returned to Mumbai on Wednesday evening. They greeted the paparazzi for the first time as newlyweds. Rajkummar and Patralekhaa posed for the shutterbugs happily at the airport before heading home.
At the airport, a photographer sought Patralekhaa's attention for pictures. He went on to call her 'Bhabhi ji' and the actress couldn't stop blushing on hearing that word. She looked at her husband Rajkummar, repeated the word and laughed. Rajkummar also looked surprised initially but then gave smile when the photographer addressed Patralekhaa as 'Bhabhi ji'.
Patralekhaa wore a red saree for her journey back to Mumbai whereas Rajkummar was dressed in a white shirt and pants.
For the wedding, Rajkummar and Patralekhaa chose outfits from Sabyasachi's shelf. The actress wore a red saree with a customised veil that had a Bengali verse inscribed on it. It read, "Amar poran bhora bhalobasha ami tomae shomorpon korilam," which loosely translates to "I surrender to you my love-filled heart."
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa tied the knot after being in a relationship for 11 years.
