Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor are looking forward to the release of their quirky romantic comedy Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. The gender bender love story has left the fans excited after the release of its trailer and various songs.
Now, the makers have released a BTS video from the sets of the film where Ayushmann, Vaani, director Abhishek Kapoor and producer Bhushan Kumar talk about the film, its title and shooting it in Chandigarh. Ayushmann says that it was a trip down memory lane as he shot the film in his hometown and even proceeded to relate a story about the price of coffee in one of the cafes which he used to frequent with his father in his childhood. He said, “I used to come here with my father in my childhood, at that time the cost of a cup of coffee was Rs 10, today it is Rs 35.”
Reportedly, the film’s title was suggested by Ayushmann himself who was all gung-ho about showcasing his hometown in a film which has not been explored extensively before.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar has produced the film under their production banner T-Series along with Pragya Kapoor’s and Abhishek Kapoor’s Guy In The Sky Pictures. The film is slated to release on December 10, 2021, in theatres.
