‘I believe, in my head to be a big screen hero, can’t visualise myself coming for subscription fees,’ says John Abraham on staying away from OTT

John Abraham is one actor who has not yet joined the OTT bandwagon, be it through a film release or a web series. The actor will be seen in his next film Attack, the teaser of which has been attached to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home theatrical release. In a recent interview, the actor said that he cannot visualize himself coming with a subscription fees and hence all his films are designed for the big screen.

In a recent interview, when asked whether he will ever release his films on the digital paltforms, a trend that has seen a boom in the last year, John said, “I believe, in my head, I am a big screen hero, and I will come on the large screen. At this point, I can’t even visualise myself coming for a subscription fees, it is difficult. All my films have been designed for the big screen for the next three years. So that is the way it is going to be for the next few years at least. I don’t have the time to do anything else outside of big screen films at this point of time… But, never say never.”

Even though superstars like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan chose to go the OTT way, John held out and waited for a theatrical release of his last film Satyameva Jayate 2 that also starred Divya Khosla Kumar in the lead.

His upcoming film Attack is all set to arrive in theatres on January 28, 2022. John will also be seen in Ek Villain Returns and Pathan.
