Twinkle Khanna is celebrating her birthday today. She took off to the Maldives with her husband Akshay Kumar and her children. As per reports, Akshay and Twinkle will bring in the New Year on the island as the former has taken a short break from his professional commitments. Wishes for Twinkle are pouring in but the sweetest one was from Akshay.
The superstar shared a picture with Twinkle from the Maldives. In the click, Akshay and Twinkle can be seen resting on a hammock above the blue waters. The actress turned author wore a shirt and denim shorts whereas the superstar opted for a tie-dye shirt and pants. "With you by my side, even the blues are easy to take in my stride… Happy birthday Tina," Akshay wrote for his wife.
For the unversed, Twinkle shares her birthday with her father, Rajesh Khanna. Sharing an unseen picture with the 'first superstar' of Bollywood, she wrote, "He always said I was the best present he could have ever received, as I tumbled feet first into the world on his birthday. A little star looking up at the biggest one in the galaxy. It’s our day together, now and forever."
Ahead of her birthday, Twinkle shared a video from the Maldives on her Instagram. Her daughter Nitara made an appearance in it. The caption of the video read, "Birthday celebrations have already begun with trapping golden sunlight within the pores of my skin, my hair salty from the hazy blue sea and my heart filled to the brim." Akshay was seen cycling in a video shared by him.
