I have made parents Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan cry, brother Ibrahim Ali Khan is proud of me: Sara Ali Khan on Atrangi Re

Sara Ali Khan's Rinku Sooryavanshi in Atrangi Re was loved by the audience and critics alike. The actress nailed the complex and layered character with ease and impressed all. Now, as Sara is riding high on the success of the Aanand L. Rai directorial, she spoke to a news portal about her harshest critics- her parents Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan.

Talking about her parents being her harshest critic and their response to her work in Atrangi Re, Sara said, "Atrangi Re is not a good film to ask this question because they have both been very nice. I think mom is very emotional and will always be. And, my father is a very strong and sophisticated gentleman. But I do know that I have made both mom and dad cry. It is weird to feel that sense of accomplishment that your parents are proud of you."

She shared her younger brother Ibrahim Ali Khan's reaction too. "And more than that, even my brother Ibrahim’s reaction. Our equation is about playing around and we keep kidding with each other - from college until now, I am his golu molu sister. But now, he is saying that he is proud of me or that’s my sister, my and he is telling this to others too. So, I feel very happy," Sara added.

Atrangi Re also stars Dhanush and Akshay Kumar. The film premiered on Disney+Hotstar on December 24.
