COVID-19 and its variant Omicron are wreaking havoc in the lives of people across India. The beginning of 2022 has not been that great as the number of cases is shooting up daily. Bollywood celebrities are also affected. In the third wave of COVID-19, Nafisa Ali, Esha Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo and Arijit Singh have contracted the virus. 

Nafisa, a renowned actress, has been admitted to a hospital in Goa. Sharing a picture of herself from the hospital, she wrote, "Guess what I have ! A lucky number 7 bed !! High fever and throat congested but doing better with my super medical team in Goa . Hope to be allowed home in a few days for self isolation…."

Esha was informed about her diagnosis on Instagram stories. She wrote, "Despite the utmost precautions, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have been following the protocols and have isolated myself and currently under home quarantine. I am sure I will come back stronger and better out of this. Please stay safe and mask up. Take care of yourself, and others. Don’t forget to Mask up!"

Arijit and his wife Koel also contracted the virus. The singer penned a note on Facebook. He wrote, "Me and my wife have tested Covid Positive. We are all perfectly fine and have quarantined ourselves." In May last year, Arijit lost his mother due to coronavirus-related health complications. 

Maanvi shared multiple stories on Instagram after testing positive.
