Salman Khan, who lives with his parents in Mumbai's Galaxy Apartment, owns a huge farmhouse in Panvel. The actor often pays a visit to the farmhouse with his family members to spend quality time. Recently, Salman sued his ‘neighbour’ Ketan Kakkad for defaming him in an interview on YouTube. However, on Friday, the Mumbai City Civil Court refused to pass any interim restraining order in favour of the superstar.
As per reports, Salman named two others apart from Kakkad and social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and search engine Google have been made parties to the suit. Reportedly, the superstar has demanded to get the defamatory content removed from public platforms. In addition to this, Salman wants a permanent order restraining Kakkad from positing or publishing any defamatory content about him or his farmhouse.
Judge Anil H Laddhad has directed Kakkad and his lawyers to file the reply and the matter will be heard on January 21. Kakkad's advocates Abha Singh and Aditya Pratap had told the court that they required some time to go through the entire suit.
According to reports, Salman's plea mentioned that Kakkad attempted to purchase a plot beside his Panvel farmhouse but the transaction was cancelled by the authorities as they deemed it illegal. However, the latter accused that the transaction got cancelled because of the superstar.
