In August 2021, Vishal Bharadwaj's son Aasman Bharadwaj announced his directorial debut titled Kuttey. For the caper-thriller, the makers have roped in a stellar cast. Kuttey will star Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Radhika Madan and Shardul Bharadwaj. Now, it has been revealed that Tabu will play a corrupt police constable in the film while Arjun will be seen as a bad cop. Konkona will be seen as a Naxalite and Radhika will play the role of a college student.

Kuttey is produced by Luv Ranjan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg and Rekha Bhardwaj under the banner of Luv Films and Vishal Bhardwaj Films, and presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. The film’s music will be scored by Vishal with lyrics penned by Gulzar.
