Ayushmann Khurrana will turn to action in his upcoming film An Action Hero which will mark the directorial debut of Anirudh Iyer, who has previously worked as an assistant director with Aanand L Rai in his films. The film will soon go on floors in London. During a recent interaction with an online portal, Rai spoke about how the film will be a game changer for Ayushmann who has previously collaborated with him on Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
Speaking about Ayushmann’s first stint in the action genre, Rai said, “We again have an intelligent actor called Ayushmann Khuranna (on board) who chooses his subjects and scripts brilliantly. His association with us has been a fantastic one. We did Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, and the way he chooses his characters is commendable."
He further added and said that the film will be a game-changer for Ayushmann who is known for his out-of-the-box and content driven films. Rai told the portal, “We (Himanshu Sharma) had decided together that this is a story that will give another dimension to his acting. Wait for another magical and gutsy story from Ayushmann and us."
An Action Hero will be shot in the UK and India.
