Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt's RRR was scheduled to release on January 7 but due to the rise in COVID-19 and Omicron cases, the makers had to hold it. Now, the period drama directed by SS Rajamouli will get a theatrical opening on March 25. Trade analysts predicted a clash between RRR and Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
However, the clash between the two highly anticipated films has been averted. The makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have pushed its release to May 20. The announcement was made on social media on Wednesday. Anees Bazmee has directed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and it is written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik.
RRR is a fictitious tale of two Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Sita Ramaraju and Komaram Bheem. Directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by DVV Danayya, the film will release in 10 languages. PEN Movies will be distributors of the film across North India.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a sequel to Priyadarshan's 2007 psychological thriller starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. The sequel also stars Rajpal Yadav. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series and Cine 1 Studios.
