Lata Mangeshkar's demise at the age of 92 has left a major void in Indian cinema. The end of an era came this morning at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. With heavy hearts, the legendary singer's family, friends and fans will be cremating her at Mumbai's Shivaji Park this evening.
Ahead of the funeral, Amitabh Bachchan and his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda paid a visit to the bereaved family at Prabhu Kunj.
According to reports, Jaya Bachchan has tested positive for COVID-19 and hence couldn't accompany Mr Bachchan and Shweta.
In his blog, Mr Bachchan mourned Lata Didi's demise and wrote, "She has left us .. The voice of a million centuries has left us .. her voice resounds now in the Heavens!"
Sanjay Leela Bhansali offered condolence to the Mangeshkar family.
He was seen outside Prabhu Kunj this afternoon.
Bhushan Kumar and Remo D'Souza also visited the family.
