Deepika Padukone's chemistry with Siddhant Chaturvedi in Shakun Batra's Gehraiyaan has become the talk of the town since the trailer debuted on social media. The film about relationships required the actors to go intimate for the cameras. Though people are loving Deepika's on-screen pairing with Siddhant, trolls attacked the actress by asking whether she sought her husband Ranveer Singh's permission to do bold scenes. 

Deepika, in an interview with an entertainment portal, reacted to such comments. Calling them 'stupid', the actress said, "It’s stupid that we are even reacting to it. I don’t read comments. I’m pretty certain he doesn’t. I think, yuck, it just feels so stupid." She added that Ranveer recently watched Gehraiyaan and was "extremely proud of my performance."

Gehraiyaan also stars Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur among others. Jointly produced by Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions in association with director Shakun Batra’s Jouska Films, the film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022.
