‘Is it ok to sexualize her at this age?’ asks Kangana Ranaut slamming viral reel of little girl imitating Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi dialogue

Kangana Ranaut is one of the most outspoken actresses in Bollywood and never fails to express her views. Several times she has managed to land herself in controversy with her statements but several times she also says the right things as she never shies away from calling a spade, a spade. The actress has taken a dig at Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi after a video of a child imitating one of the scenes from the teaser went viral on social media.

Sharing a pic of the little girl and social media influence Kiara Khanna, also called ‘chhoti Alia Bhatt, imitating one of the scenes from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial with a beedi in her mouth like Alia’s character in the film, Kangana tagged Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani in her Instagram story and asked the government to take action against parents for sexualising children.

Kangana wrote, “Should this child imitate a sex worker with a beedi in her mouth and crude and obscene dialogues? Look at her body language, is it ok to sexualize her at this age? There are hundreds of other children who are being used similarly.”

Alia plays a sex worker in Gangubai Kathiawadi who goes on to become an influential madam of the Kamathipura red light area in Mumbai and also stands for elections. The film is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai that illuminates a chapter on the life of Gangubai Kathiawadi.
