Do you know title of Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna was derived from Bappi Lahiri's song from Chalte Chalte?

In his illustrious career as a singer and music composer, Bappi Lahiri delivered countless chartbusters. From making disco a rage to spreading the beauty of love with his voice, the legendary singer conquered the music industry for decades. Bappi Da, who breathed his last on Tuesday at 69, was an inspiration. He didn't just inspire new-age singers but also filmmakers.

Karan Johar was one of those filmmakers who was inspired by Bappi Da's songs. So much so that the title of his film-Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna- was derived from one of Bappi Da's songs. Reportedly, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was also a title derived from his discography.

In a statement from CritiCare Hospital, the doctors informed, "Bappi Lahiri was suffering from OSA- Obstructive Sleep Apnea and recurrent chest infection. He was treated by Dr. Deepak Namjoshi. He was hospitalised in Criticare Hospital, Juhu for 29 days with this. He recovered well and was discharged home on 15 February. However, after a day at home, his health again deteriorated and he was brought back to Criticare hospital Juhu in a critical state and succumbed to his illness at about 11:45 pm. He suffered from Covid infection last year. He had OSA for the last 1 year. He was admitted on multiple occasions to Criticare Hospital under treatment of Dr. Deepak Namjoshi and recovered on all occasions. He was taken to some other hospital but had already passed away."
