Farhan Akhtar tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Shibani Dandekar on February 19 in an intimate ceremony. The first pictures of the couple as husband and wife were out the same day. The couple got married in Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's farmhouse in Khandala. The house named Sukoon is situated amid the backdrop of beautiful hills and we have got some inside glimpses of it for you.
Soon after their wedding, Farhan's sister Zoya Akhtar hosted a post-wedding bash for the newlyweds. Last night, Ritesh Sidhwani organized a dinner party for Farhan-Shibani. And while many were expecting a big Bollywood reception to be hosted by the couple, it has now been confirmed by Farhan's mother Honey Irani that there won't be any reception. She also revealed the couple's honeymoon plans. In a conversation with a Bollywood website, Honey said that Farhan will soon be starting his work, and hence they may not be flying for their honeymoon now. She said, “I don’t know if they are planning to go anywhere for a honeymoon as Farhan is starting his film very soon, so I really don’t know about that. They haven’t planned anything yet. Because of Covid everything has gone up and down, so let's see."

Speaking about the much-awaited wedding reception of the newlywed, Honey revealed that it is not happening. She said, "No. Some friends have invited us for dinner, or the couple, those kinds of one or two days are going on but otherwise nothing more."
For the unversed, Farhan and Shibani's wedding took place with only a few close friends and family members. The couple exchanged vows, instead of a traditional Marathi wedding ceremony or a nikah.
