Akshay Kumar's much-anticipated film Prithviraj is ready for a theatrical release in June. A part of Yash Raj Films' 50th-anniversary celebration, the film is based on the historical figure, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan.
The initial release date of Prithviraj was June 10. However, on Wednesday, Yash Raj Films' Twitter account carried an announcement revealing a revised release date. Now, Prithviraj will arrive early in cinema halls. It will hit the silver screen on June 3. "Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan is arriving early on the big screen on 3rd June. In Hindi, Tamil & Telugu. Prithviraj stars Akshay Kumar in the titular role. It introduces Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar as Princess Sanyogita. Sanjay Dutt will play Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan’s trusted saamant - Kaka Kanha. Sonu Sood is court poet Chand Vardai.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj is directed by Padma Shri recipient Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi who directed the epic television serial Chanakya.
