In February of 2019, a case of fraud was registered against Sonakshi Sinha in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. As per the complaint, an amount of Rs 32 lakh was transferred to Sonakshi’s account for her presence at an event but she did not turn up. Back in March 2019, the Allahabad High court stayed the actress's arrest.
However, in the latest development, a non-bailable warrant has been reportedly issued against her. Reportedly, the ACJM court in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh has instructed the actress to appear in the court on April 25. Sonakshi and her team are yet to react to this development.

The complaint was filed against Sonakshi by a person named Pramod Sharma. A team of cops flew down from Moradabad to Mumbai in 2019 to record the actress's statement at her residence. Reacting to the same, Sonakshi had tweeted, "An event organiser who couldn't live up to his commitment obviously thinks he can make a fast buck by maligning my image crystal clear image in the press. There is full cooperation with the authorities from my end for the investigation to be conducted. Would request the media not to fan these bizarre claims of an unscrupulous man. Yours honestly and sincerely, Sonakshi Sinha."
Workwise, Sonakshi will be making her OTT debut. She will be seen in a horror-comedy titled Kakuda and Double XL with Huma Qureshi.
