Akshay Kumar and his wife, actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna are in grief. The couple is mourning the death of their family dog Cleo. They took to their respective social media handles to share tributes for their dog with heartfelt messages, videos and pictures.

Sharing a couple of pictures with Twinkle and Cleo, Akshay wrote, “They say dogs leave paw prints on our hearts. You took a part of our hearts with you today. Rest well up there, Cleo. Will miss you.”

Twinkle also shared videos of Cleo and said that her heart felt heavy and empty at the same time. Cleo had been with the family for 12 long years. She wrote, “Our beautiful Cleo passed away. We had 12 wonderful years with her. I don’t know how the heart can feel heavy and empty at the same time, but it does.”

The death of Cleo also prompted several of their celeb friends like Bobby Deol, Amrita Arora, Dabboo Ratnani and cousin Karan Kapadia to express grief at their loss.
