Sidharth Malhotra is all set to make his web debut with Rohit Shetty's large-scale cop action-drama. Back in July 2021, there were reports that Rohit is working on a cop-action show for Amazon Prime Video. Now, as per the latest development, he has chosen Sidharth to headline his large-scale show. Rohit will be producing the cop-action show and will co-direct it with his assistant director-debutant Sushwanth Prakash. The show will be an eight-episode cop action-drama show.
Confirming the news, Journalist Rahul Raut wrote on Instagram, "CONFIRMED!! #SidharthMalhotra is making his OTT debut with #RohitShetty's Amazon Prime series... The eight-episode cop action-thriller drama show will be jointly directed by Shetty and his assistant Sushwanth Prakash... Shooting starts tomorrow in Mumbai's Vile Parle!"
Talking about the show, Rohit had said in 2018, "We are working on it. We are working on something in which I will be the showrunner. I don't want to invest that much time when we started writing it. We are working on something which my Chief AD (assistant director) will be directing. I will be the showrunner."
On the work front, Sidharth was last seen in Dharma Productions' Shershaah co-starring Kiara Advani. He has Thank God and Mission Majnu in his lineup. Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is set to bring Ranveer Singh again in a new avatar in Cirkus.
