Karisma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit bring back Dil To Pagal Hai memories with their reunion; Samantha Ruth Prabhu slams trolls who pass judgments on women based on their ‘necklines and hemlines’

Our celebs frequently take to social media to give a glimpse of their lives and also to slam the trolls and naysayers. Nevertheless, whatever they do, most of the times their posts start a trending conversation amongst the netizens. Recently, Samantha Ruth Prabhu slammed trolls for judging women based on what they wear, their race and appearance among other things. On the other hand, Karisma Kapoor took us down the memory lane by sharing a picture with her Dil To Pagal Hai co-star Madhuri Dixit. Naturally, both the posts are the biggest trends on social media today.

Karisma bumps into her ‘all-time favourite’ Madhuri

Karisma took to Instagram to share a picture with Madhuri. The two looked drop-dead gorgeous as they hug each other and smile ear-to-ear for the camera. Karisma captioned the post, “Look who I bumped into at the studio my all time fav MDji #memoriesandmagic.” Karisma and Madhuri starred together in Yash Chopra’s musical Dil To Pagal Hai that had Shah Rukh Khan opposite them. The film was a blockbuster hit and cemented Karisma’s place in Bollywood. She clinched the Best Supporting Actress Award whereas Madhuri won Filmfare Best Actress award in 1997. Their picture brought fond memories for their fans that could not help but remember their iconic Dance of Envy face-off in the film.

Samantha slams those judging women for their ‘necklines and hemlines’

Samantha took to Instagram Stories to ask if judgments on women 'based on the hemlines and necklines' can be stopped. She also added that forcing someone’s ideals on others never did anyone good. She added her picture in a sultry green and black outfit as the background for her Instagram stories. She wrote, “As a woman, I bear firsthand knowledge of what it means to be judged. We judge women based on what they wear, their race, education, social standing, appearance, skin tone, and the list goes on and on. Making snap judgements about a person simply based on the clothes they wear is quite literally the easiest thing one can do."

She further wrote, “Now that we're in the year 2022- can we finally stop judging a woman based on the hemlines and necklines she adorns and focus instead on bettering ourselves? Turning that judgement inward and training it on ones own self is evolution! Projecting our ideals on someone else never did anyone any good ...let's gently rewrite the way we measure and understand a person (red heart emoji).”

The actress was recently seen in a dark green and black coloured dress with a train. The dress had a plunging neck line. It is not clear whether her post were made on any mean comments received on her look or lending support to Deepika Padukone who was questioned about her ‘necklines and hemlines’ by a social media influencer recently during her Gehraiyaan promotions. They had a social media spat over the comments.
