Alia Bhatt is celebrating her birthday today. Taking some time off her hectic schedule, the actress jetted off with her mother Soni Razdan and elder sister Shaheen Bhatt to an undisclosed location to ring in her special day. Fans across the globe sent their wishes to Alia, but the best ones came from Soni and Shaheen.
Doting mother Soni penned a beautiful note for Alia describing the meaning of her name. She wrote, "Alia means ‘exalted’ and that you most certainly are Apart from the fact that today you’re a bright star When we named you we didn’t have a clue That this is what your name meant, and that it might come true All we knew about you was that you were so sweet So cute and so cuddly and adorable and neat (sic)"
She added, "And then you grew up to be a lovely person Kind and considerate and balanced and so certain Of what it was you wanted and what was right and wrong And how to go about making life into a song A song of beauty and of love, and of so much caring One thing is for certain, your life’s all about the sharing To you on your birthday I wish you so much love From all of the earth and the heavens above Always remember there’s one thing that’s true And that is that you are just perfect as YOU (sic)"
Soni concluded her poem saying, "You’re special, you’re fabulous You’re super and fantabulous You’re super-cali- fragilous And expi-Alia-docillous (sic)" Along with the poem, Soni shared a childhood picture of Alia too.
Shaheen shared an unseen adorable picture with Alia. Her caption read, "My best friend, my baby girl, my everything. There are few things in life comparable to the joy of having you by my side on this and every journey. I’m so proud of you. Of the person you’re evolving into, of the person you so effortlessly are, of the person you work so hard to be. We call you sunshine because you are - dazzling, life-affirming and unfiltered. I hope the light in you continues to grow brighter and illuminate all of our lives always. I love you so much. Happy Birthday."
Alia's recently released film Gangubai Kathiawadi is running successfully in theatres. She has films like RRR, Darlings, Brahmastra and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Alia will be making her Hollywood debut in Netflix’s international spy thriller Heart of Stone co-starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
