Karan Johar hosted a lavish birthday party for his Dharma Productions CEO and close friend Apoorva Mehta last night at a plush hotel in Mumbai. Apoorva, who is turned 50 yesterday, celebrated his big day with KJo and all his friends from the industry. Ace set designer Amrita Mahal, who is known for set designing of several Dharma films including Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Brahmastra, designed the theme of the starry birthday bash and we must say, she did her job pretty well.

The glam stars of Bollywood attended the bash. For the unversed, Apoorva has been working with Karan for Dharma Productions since 2005. Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna was the first film he worked on. Together, the duo has produced several blockbusters under the banner of Dharma Productions.
