Akshay Kumar receives invitation to visit Kaziranga National Park; authorities thank him for his donation in 2019

Back in 2019, when floods in Assam wreaked havoc, Akshay Kumar lent a helping hand. The superstar had donated Rs 1 crore each to the Assam CM’s Relief Fund and for the rescue of Kaziranga National Park. Akshay's donation was used for the construction of high land, floating camps, anti-poaching camps and the development of wetland, as informed by the officials on Twitter.

Kaziranga National Park's official Twitter account shared pictures of the new constructions and thanked Akshay for his donation. He also received an invitation to visit the park. "Shri Akshay Kumar @akshaykumar Your donation is used for construction of high land, floating camps, anti-poaching camps and development of wetland. We cordially invite you to visit the wild paradise 'Kaziranga'," the tweet read.

In response to the invitation, the superstar wrote, "This made my day. Thank you so much for the invitation to @kaziranga_, will definitely plan a visit soon."

In 2019, Akshay had tweeted, "Absolutely heartbreaking to know about the devastation by floods in Assam.All affected, humans or animals,deserve support in this hour of crisis.I’d like to donate 1cr each to the CM Relief Fund & for Kaziranga Park rescue.Appealing to all to contribute @CMOfficeAssam @kaziranga_"

Workwise, Akshay's film Bachchhan Paandey has released in theatres on March 18.
