Amitabh Bachchan shared a great equation with Irrfan. They shared the screen space in Shoojit Sircar's Piku. Now, as the late actor's son Babil Khan is all set to step into the industry, Mr Bachchan sent across a letter to him. The veteran remembered Irrfan and the memories they made together.
"Thank you for your warm personal note to me. Life is transient and death is unfathomable, but 'Friendship' transcends death. Memories made, create a lasting impression on those left behind, and will never be forgotten. Each time we are reminded of a loved one through a phrase, a joke, an action. These are the things that will keep us close despite death," Mr Bachchan wrote.
He further added, "Your father Irrfan was a great soul and everyone whose lives he touched, are better for having known him. It was an emotional outlet and healing for me to have had the opportunity to express, albeit briefly, my thoughts and feelings for him through the foreword in Anup Singh’s publication. He is missed dearly."
Mr Bachchan concluded the note by saying, "My regards to your mother Sutapa, your brother Ayaan and self."
PeepingMoon exclusively informed its readers on March 24 that Mr Bachchan and Babil will be starring in Shoojit's The Umesh Chronicles. The film has already gone on floors in Lucknow.
