Amid wedding rumours, Ranbir Kapoor has finally confirmed that he and Alia Bhatt have "all the intentions of getting married". Talking to a news portal during the promotions of his father Rishi Kapoor's last film, Sharmaji Namkeen, the actor said the celebrated couple will tie the knot soon.
In the interview, Ranbir refused to share details and said the wedding will 'hopefully' happen soon. "Mujhe paagal kutte ne nahi kaata hai ki main media ko announce kardu date. But Alia and I have all the intentions of getting married soon, so yes, hopefully soon," Ranbir told.
There were reports about Ranbir and Alia's April wedding. However, the former's aunt, Rima Jain, told an entertainment portal that the rumour is not true. She said, "Nothing like this. Hum log ne kuch prepare hi nahin kiya toh shaadi kaise itni jaldi hogi (We haven’t prepared anything yet, so how will the wedding happen so soon?). It will be shocking for me also if it’s true. Wedding will definitely happen, but I don’t know when."
During Gangubai Kathiawadi's promotions, Alia reacted to wedding rumours. She told a new portal, "In my head, I am married to Ranbir, in fact, I am married to Ranbir in my head for a long time. Everything happens for a reason. Whenever we do get married it will work out right and in a beautiful way."
