Prabhakar Sail, an independent witness of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the cruise ship drugs case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, died of a heart attack at his residence in Mumbai. The news was shared by the police today.
A police official told news agency Press Trust of India, “Prabhakar Sail, 37, died of a heart attack at his house in Mahul (Chembur) on Friday evening. He was taken to the civic-run Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai's Ghatkopar, where he was declared 'brought dead'.” Prabhakar Sail’s lawyer Tushar Khandare confirmed Sail’s demise due to heart attack and that his family members do not suspect any foul play.

Prabhakar Sail, claimed to be the bodyguard of NCB witness KP Gosavi and had alleged in an affidavit that he had heard the latter discuss a Rs 25 crore pay-off deal and his willingness to ‘settle’ at Rs 18 crore, of which Rs 8 crore was to be allegedly paid to NCB zonal chief Sameer Wankhede after Aryan was arrested during the raid on October 3 last year. The charges were denied by Wankhede. However, the NCB had told the court that Sail had turned hostile. Moreover, his affidavit was still pending before the court.
Aryan was arrested in the case along with 19 others and spent almost a month in the jail. Recently, the court exempted him from making weekly appearances at NCB office.
