Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally got married yesterday on April 14, 2022. The intimate ceremony was attended by only close friends and family members. The wedding was a simple and minimalistic affair. After the wedding, Ranbir’s mom Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni along with husband Bharat Sahni greeted the media and confirmed that there would be no reception for the newlywed couple.
Previously, it was reported that Alia and Ranbir will host a wedding reception on April 16 and 17, but now it looks there may not be a reception after all. Last night, mom Neetu during her interaction with the media confirmed that there won’t be any reception. She thanked the media gathered in front of Ranbir’s residence and asked them to bless the newlyweds and said, “Aap sab khush rehna aur Alia aur Ranbir ko khushiyaan. Wish them all the best.”
She said everything went off well and now everyone can take a good night’s rest, including the media. She said, “Ho gaya sab kuch. Abhi aap aaraam se so jao (Everything is done. Now you all can sleep in peace).”
Previously, choreographer Masterji Rajendra Singh had also said that there won’t be any reception for Alia and Ranbir. He had told a portal, “Reception hain hi nahi (There is no reception). No, there's nothing happening."
