Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor finally tied the knot on April 15, 2022 in the presence of close family members and friends. Although things were all hush-hush, post the wedding Alia and Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, cousins Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aadar Jain and Armaan Jain have been posting beautiful pictures from the ceremony. Now, amongst all the photos that have come out, one from the mehendi ceremony posted by the bride stands out.
The said photo is of father-of-the-groom Rishi Kapoor who was dearly missed during the wedding as he passed away on April 30, 2020. However, the couple made sure that he was there in the spirit. Today, when Alia shared pictures from their mehendi ceremony, she included one where Ranbir can be seen holding Rishi’s photo. In the picture, we can see a tilak on Rishi’s forehead signifying the fact that there was a puja held before the start of the wedding festivities.
Alia captioned the pictures, “The Mehendi was like something out of a dream. It was a day full of love, family, our beautiful best friends, a LOT of French fries, a surprise performance by the ladkewalas, Ayan playing DJ, a BIG surprise organised by Mr. Kapoor (my favourite artist performed my favourite songs), all followed by some happy tears and quiet, blissful moments with the love of my life. There are days… and then there are days like these!”
Rishi’s wife Neetu had also shared a photo of herself and Ranbir on Instagram and dedicated it to her late husband after the wedding. She had captioned it, “This is dedicated to kapoor Saab your wish has been fulfilled.”
