Yash Raj Films released the trailer of Ranveer Singh's Jayeshbhai Jordaar this morning and well, it looks promising. The film also stars Arjun Reddy fame Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah in pivotal roles. Jayeshbhai Jordaar is releasing on May 13 and YRF is leaving no stone unturned to make sure the film reaches everyone. Jayeshbhai Jordaar is the story of a Gujarati man on the run with his pregnant wife who ends up championing the cause of women’s empowerment through his strongly disruptive choices. Jayeshbhai is an unlikely hero who tries to bring about constructive changes throughout the film, challenging the patriarchal stereotype about mass sex-selective abortions in the most implausible way.

Today, at the trailer launch event, Ranveer talked about wanting to do films that every family can sit and watch together. He said, "I am in a phase where I want to do films that families can watch together."

Before the trailer of the film released today, Ranveer said that he has relished being a part of the film. “Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a unique experience because it has pushed me into becoming a character with no reference point in Hindi cinema. Jayeshbhai is not your typical hero. He discovers heroism when he is pushed to the brink, and according to me, he is one of the most lovable heroes in Hindi cinema," he said.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar will release on May 13.
