Sanjay Leela Bhansali had roped in Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt for his film Inshallah. Unfortunately, the film got shelved and the filmmaker decided to make Gangubai Kathiawadi with Alia. While it is being said that there were creative differences between Bhansali and Salman, the team refrained from talking about it. Now, in an interview with an entertainment portal, Dr Jayantilal Gada, the producer of Gangubai Kathiawadi (and Inshallah too) revealed the reason.
Talking to the portal, Mr Gada said, "Yes, we had started work on that film (Inshallah). However, I believe Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan had some creative differences. I don’t know exactly as we don’t get into such matters. So, that got shelved and Gangubai Kathiawadi went on floors."
In an exclusive conversation with PeepingMoon, Alia reacted to Inshallah's shelve. She shared, "Maybe Inshallah's shelve pushed Sanjay Leela Bhansali into wanting to make Gangubai Kathiawadi' but it's not compensation."
