Akshay Kumar will be playing the lead in the Hindi remake of Suriya’s Tamil blockbuster Soorarai Pottru. You read this news first on PeepingMoon on January 28, 2022. Now, the film, directed by Sudha Kongara, has been officially announced. Yet untitled, the remake of Soorarai Pottru stars Radhika Madan with Akshay.
The film went on floors today. The superstar shared a video from the first day on set with Radhika. He wrote, "With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it. In case you’ll have any title suggestions, do share and of course your best wishes."

Soorarai Pottru Hindi version is to be directed by Sudha Kongara who also helmed the original. Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment and Abundantia Entertainment have partnered to produce the film’s remake in Hindi.
