Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani launched the much-promising trailer of Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 this afternoon. The film, which is a sequel to the 2007 hit of the same name, stars Tabu and Rajpal Yadav as well. Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Ameesha Patel and Shiney Ahuja starred in the original movie. Now, taking the legacy ahead are Kiara and Kartik who are playing roles similar to Akshay and Vidya.
Talking about being compared to the legendary AK, who played the role of Dr. Aditya Shrivastav, in the original movie, Kartik said at the trailer launch event, "I didn't want to make any comparisons because it's too big a shoe to fill. I have loved him (Akshay Kumar) in Bhool Bhulaiyaa. We have all loved him and grown up watching him and so it will be better if no one compares me to him. I love him as an actor."
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, directed by Anees Bazmee, also stars Tabu, Kiara and Rajpal in pivotal roles. It is written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik, and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series and Cine 1 Studios. The film is all set to hit the screens on May 20, 2022.
