Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani launched the much-promising trailer of Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 this afternoon. The film, which is a sequel to the 2007 hit of the same name, stars Tabu and Rajpal Yadav as well. Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Ameesha Patel and Shiney Ahuja starred in the original movie. Now, taking the legacy ahead are Kiara and Kartik who are playing roles similar to Akshay and Vidya. Director Anees was asked about why he did not get Akshay and Vidya onboard for a special appearance in the film.
Talking about how the script 'did not allow him to', the filmmaker said, "Akshay is a great actor and we're good friends. We have done a few films together. Vidya did a great job in the film so I wish we could bring the two of them together in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for a guest appearance and naturally, it would have been very beneficial for the film but the script did not give us a chance to cast them. We would have been very happy if they worked together in this film. We have worked in a very different manner in this film, except for Rajpal Yadav, everyone is newly cast."
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, directed by Anees Bazmee, also stars Tabu, Kiara and Rajpal in pivotal roles. It is written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik, and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series and Cine 1 Studios. The film is all set to hit the screens on May 20, 2022.
