The trailer of Shilpa Shetty, Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia’s Nikamma was launched today at an event in Mumbai. During the media interaction that followed the trailer launch, Shilpa was asked about the porn case surrounding her husband Raj Kundra.
On an unrelated note, Shilpa was quizzed about the rough phase in her life due to the case levied against her husband Raj. However, not one to back down from a challenge, Shilpa chose to answer the question and said, “Like you saw my avatar in the movie’s trailer, of rising above and playing a superwoman; I think we all have played really strong characters in our real lives, many of us don’t talk about it, we’ve raged the storm and I think it’s the time to celebrate newer beginnings and more positive things, so let’s focus on that.” Watch her answer below:

Shilpa put up a brave front during her husband’s arrest and later on when he was released on bail. He has not made any public appearance post that but the actress has not shied away from media and continued completing her professional commitments.
With Nikamma, Shilpa will be returning to theaters after a gap of 14 long years. Nikamma is directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Sabbir Khan Films. The film will hit theatres on 17th June 2022.
