Alia Bhatt shares a special bond with Karan Johar ever since she made her Bollywood debut in Student of the Year in 2012. The actress who is away shooting for her Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone along with Gal Gadot, penned an emotional post for her ‘father, best friend and mentor’ KJo as he turned 50-years-old today. Taking to Instagram she shared three pictures with Karan – two from her wedding with Ranbir Kapoor and one apparently from the sets of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Alia captioned the post with the words, “to the most generous soul I know! .. to the man who is my father .. my best friend .. and my mentor!(displayed in these pictures respectively) HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY K! I pray and wish for only love peace and joy in your life, you deserve it all and much much more for all the light and goodness you bring into peoples lives!!!I love you more than this Instagram post can ever handle.”
Karan has time-and-again said that Alia is like his daughter. Even while wishing her on her wedding to Ranbir, the filmmaker had welcomed the latter as his son-in-law. Alia also never fails to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Karan’s children-twins Yash and Roohi and takes her role of a big sister very seriously indeed.
Meanwhile, Karan is all set to host a big star-studded birthday bash at Yash Raj Studios tonight which will be attended by the who’s who of Bollywood. The party is supposed to have a red carpet entry for celebs and the paparazzi will be styled by Dharma Productions in suits as well.
