Kartik Aaryan dismisses fee hike rumours calling them ‘baseless’ post Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 success; gives a hilariously epic reply

Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is going great guns at the box office and has crossed the coveted Rs 100 mark at the box office in the early days of its second week. The actor has been riding on cloud nine since the film’s release and basking in the well-deserved success and accolades coming his way. In the wake of his success, a media report stated that after the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik has hiked his fee to Rs 35-40 crore per movie. However, Kartik took to social media to refute such rumours in his trademark hilarious way and shut the rumours with an epic reply.

Taking to Twitter, Kartik quoted the article and wrote, “Promotion hua hai life mein. Increment nahi. Baseless." On Sunday, the actor posted a photo in which he is beaming with a grin that goes from ear-to-ear and celebrated the Rs 100 crore collection of hi film at the box office. He tweeted, “100 crore wali smile (folded hands & heart emojis) #BhoolBhulaiyaa2."

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also stars Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Amar Upadhyay, Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, Milind Gunaji, Rajesh Sharma and Karmveer Choudhary. It is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar under his T-Series production banner. The film is a standalone sequel to Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa that released in 2007 and was directed by Priyadarshan.

Meanwhile on the work front, Kartik has his hands full with several lucrative projects such as Hindi remake of Allu Arjun’s 2020 Telugu hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo titled Shehzada opposite Kriti Sanon and directed by Rohit Dhawan. He also has Shashanka Ghosh’s romantic thriller Freddy with Alaya F, Sajid Nadiadwala produced Satyanarayan Ki Katha and Hansal Mehta’s social drama Captain India.
