Hate-filled comments, threats & negative energy: AP Dhillon mourns Sidhu Moosewala's death, sheds light on the reality of a Punjabi artiste’s life

Sidhu Moosewala's untimely death has brought to the fore gun violence in Punjab. The singer and rapper who was a politician too was shot down by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's close associate Goldy Brar on Sunday. The attack happened just a day after the Punjab police withdrew Sidhu's security. Many celebrities were shell shocked by the news and paid emotional tributes to the 28 years old singer. However, Punjabi-Canadian singer AP Dhillon went on to shed light on the reality of a Punjabi artiste's life.

Dhillon, in his Instagram stories, highlighted how Punjabi artistes have to deal with hate-filled comments, threats and much more on a daily basis just for the fact that they keep doing what they love. He wrote, "Most people will never know the extent of what you have to deal with as a Punjabi artist behind the scenes on a daily basis. With constant judgement, hate-filled comments, threats and negative energy directed towards people like us, who are just doing what we love."
