Singer, rapper and politician Sidhu Moosewala's funeral will take place at noon today. The last rites will be held at his village, Moosa, in Punjab. The family of the deceased took his mortal remains to their village this morning after completing all legal procedures at a hospital in Mansa where he was shot dead on Sunday. 

According to reports, Sidhu's family decided to do his cremation at their ancestral agricultural land in Moosa village in Mansa district. The singer's body was reportedly taken home amid heavy security and only family members and close friends were allowed to enter.

Sidhu, 28, was shot dead on Sunday when he was driving his jeep in Mansa district. Reportedly, 30 rounds of bullets were fired at him. The police initiated a probe in this case. Punjab Police chief VK Bhawra has said the killing seemed to be the result of an inter-gang rivalry.
