Salman Khan and Mumbai Crime Branch officials were spotted outside the actor’s Mumbai home, Galaxy Apartments today afternoon. The Mumbai Crime Branch team visited the actor’s home after he and his father veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan received a threat letter on Sunday. Reportedly, an anonymous letter was found on Sunday which had a life threat to Salman and his father after which an FIR was lodged against an ‘unknown person’ by Mumbai Police and an investigation is underway.
It was reported earlier in the day that the security of Salman has been beefed up by the Maharashtra Home Department. On Sunday, apparently, Salim Khan came across the letter after is morning walk. Keeping up with his routine, he was sitting on a bench at the Bandra Bandstand after his morning walk when an unidentified man handed him a letter that mentioned a threat to him and Salman. Salim contacted the police with the help of his security personnel and an FIR was lodged under section 506-II (Criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Bandra police station.
The news of the threat letter has come only a few days after the gruesome murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. Lawrence Bishnoi has emerged as the prime suspect in his murder and reportedly Salman is also on his and his gang’s radar.
In 2018, one of Bishnoi’s aides was arrested after he threatened to kill the actor in connection with the blackbuck killing case in Jodhpur.
