KL Rahul, who is currently the vice-captain of the India national team, flew to Germany on Sunday morning to get a groin surgery done. Hence, he could not be a part of the Indian cricket team on its tour to England. Reportedly, Rahul will be in Germany for over a month. But he is not alone.
Rahul's rumoured girlfriend and actress Athiya Shetty will be by his side in Germany during his surgery and recovery period. They were spotted at the Mumbai airport this morning. While Athiya was dressed in a white crop top and jeans, Rahul wore a black T-shirt and beige pants.
Rumours of Athiya and Rahul's relationship are not fresh. While they are yet to make it official in public, fans are confident that something is cooking between them. Be it their pictures or public appearances, Athiya and Rahul always grab attention.
Athiya's father, actor Suniel Shetty, spoke about her rumoured relationship and marriage in an interview previously. He said, "It is for them to decide what they want to do because times have changed. Beti aur beta dono hi responsible hai (My daughter and son are both responsible people). I would like them to take the decision. My blessings are always there for them."
There were rumours that Athiya and Rahul are planning to tie the knot in December. The actress' brother Ahan Shetty dismissed them and told a Hindi publication, "Engagement bhi nahi hui hai. Haal filhaal uski bhi koi planning nahi hai. There is no planning for a wedding in the next few months as well."
