Mahesh Bhatt is gearing up to play the role of a grandfather. His youngest daughter Alia Bhatt is expecting her first child with her husband Ranbir Kapoor. After Alia made the news of her pregnancy official on social media, nana-to-be Mahesh spoke to a leading daily about the same. Talking to the daily, the filmmaker said it is a 'magical moment' for the entire family. He further lavished praise on his daughter Alia and son-in-law Ranbir.
"This is the most challenging role, which life is asking me to play, which is the role of a grandfather…It is a magical moment for the whole family. First of all, Alia has been a magical child since the beginning. She has amazed me with her extraordinary talent, which has displayed to herself and the world, and then the marriage with Ranbir, was a great, high moment, and I love the boy. He is an amazing kid," Mahesh told the daily.
He promised to be the 'coolest granddaddy on this planet'. The filmmaker shared, "There’s another universe which is going to descend in our backyard and in our life. It is quite astounding news. I am happy for Alia and Ranbir, and the entire clan. I am certain that the child which is going to be born will have the genetics of these two extraordinary children -- Ranbir and Alia.”
