Priyanka Chopra Jonas launched her new Indian homeware lineup named Sona Home. While the designs have impressed people back in India, the exorbitant pricing of the items has left them disappointed. Sharing their displeasure on social media, Indians slammed Priyanka's brand for limiting its reach due to its pricing.
According to reports, Sona Home's Panna Collection has a tablecloth that is priced at around 31,000 (USD 398) whereas a cup and saucer set is priced at around 5,300 approximately (USD 68). Not just this, Chutney Pots, a set of 6, are priced at around 15,000 approximately (USD 198).
Reacting to the price of items, a user wrote, "I wanna be rich to a point where I can casually buy a SONA HOME tablecloth worth 30K INR." Another added, "Sona home is beautiful and I was down to splurge on it bc I've been wanting new dinnerware but $60/per plate. Miss Chopra, you crazy."
Sharing a video of her new venture, Priyanka wrote, "I’ve always been a very intentional person with everything that I do, and so when launching SONA Home, @maneeshkgoyal and I wanted to bring our love of our joint heritage coupled with a penchant for entertaining friends and family at home, to create a brand that I am insanely proud of. In addition to being inspired by India, there are many personal tie-ins to this collection, like the lampshades are made using vintage Saris inspired by a beautiful story about Maneesh’s mom (It tears me up every time I hear it). Sona Home has been created with a lot of love and with a purpose to make every moment luxurious, intentional and special. We’re so happy to welcome you to our table."
