Amid naked photoshoot row, PETA invites Ranveer Singh to 'ditch the pants' for their campaign!

Ranveer Singh has often made headlines for his professional achievements, quirky fashion sense and romance with Deepika Padukone. But on July 21, he broke the internet, quite literally, with his naked photoshoot for an international magazine. It drew polarised views. Now, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has requested Ranveer to promote veganism through their campaign.

However, this comes with a twist. PETA invited Ranveer to join the campaign but by requesting him to 'ditch the pants' once again. In a letter to the actor, they wrote, "Greetings from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, the country’s best-known animal rights group, with more than 2 million members and supporters. We saw your head-turning Paper Magazine photo shoot – and we hope you’ll ditch the pants for us, too."

Citing an example of their campaign with Pamela Anderson, PETA further stated, "To promote compassion for animals, will you consider appearing in a nude PETA India advertisement with the tagline ‘All Animals Have the Same Parts – Try Vegan’? I’ve attached a reference image featuring Pamela Anderson for your perusal." As per reports, Ranveer turned to veganism for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

After Ranveer's pictures went viral, a female advocate filed an FIR against Ranveer under Sections 292, 293, and 509 of the Information Technology Act 2022 of the Indian Penal Code.
