Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra is coming across as a ray of light after a bout of unexpected box office failures. Headlined by Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy, the mythological fantasy film will release in theatres on September 9. Said to be among the biggest and most expensive films made in India, Brahmastra's first part has certainly grabbed eyeballs, rightfully.
The advance bookings for Brahmastra opened on September 3 and fans are going crazy. So much so that one of the leading multiplex chains has sold out 1 lac tickets in advance already. In an official Instagram post, the multiplex chain confirmed the number of tickets sold for the first weekend.
Brahmastra is expected to revive the Hindi cinema industry which has failed to deliver a clean blockbuster in the past few months. Sooryavanshi, Gangubai Kathiawadi, The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Jug Jugg Jeeyo were among the recent blockbusters. Pan-India films like RRR and KGF: Chapter 2 ruled the box office too.
Is Brahmastra on your watch list too?
