Bipasha Basu, who is expecting her first child with Karan Singh Grover this year, was all dolled up for her Shaadh, a Bengali ritual similar to the concept of Godh Bharai or baby shower. It is said to be a ritual performed for pregnant women ladies by their family members and close ones.
Bipasha's Shaadh took place on Thursday. The actress looked elegant in a pink and golden embroidery silk saree. She accessorised her look with traditional jewellery like a necklace and bangles. Bipasha completed it with a pink bindi and sindoor.
Sharing pictures with her mother, Bipasha wrote, "Wish to be a Ma like you Love you Ma"
Bipasha announced her pregnancy on August 16. Sharing pictures from her maternity photoshoot, she wrote, "A new time, a new phase, a new light adds another unique shade to our prism of life. Making us a little more whole than we used to be. We began this life individually and then we met each other and from then we were two. Too much love for only two, seemed a little unfair for us to see...so soon, we who once were two will now become three. A creation manifested by our love, our baby will join us soon and add to our glee. Thank you all, for your unconditional love, your prayers and good wishes as they are and will always be a part of us. Thank you for being a part of our lives and manifesting with us another beautiful life, our baby. Durga Durga."
Bipasha and Karan tied the knot in 2016.
