Amitabh Bachchan will soon be turning 80 years old on October 11, 2022 and to mark this mammoth achievement a special screening of his iconic films are going to be organized soon. Film Heritage Foundation will be organizing a 4-day festival to mark Amitabh’s 80th birthday in partnership with PVR Cinemas. The film festival is titled Bachchan Back To The Beginning and will be held from October 8-11, 2022 in 17 cities across India.
The film festival will screen Amitabh’s iconic films like Don, Kaala Patthar, Kaalia, Kabhi Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Namak Halaal, Abhimaan, Deewar, Mili, Satte Pe Satta and Chupke Chupke. The film festival will also hold an exhibition of rare memorabilia of the actor’s at PVR, Juhu, curated by SMM Ausaja.

Amitabh is one of the most revered and prolific actors of Indian cinema and has been acting since 1969. He is regarded as one of the most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema and was the most dominant actor in the Indian movie scene during the 1970s–1980s.
He has also received numerous awards including Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2019 (India’s highest award in the field of cinema), Padma Vibhushan in 2015, Legion of Honour in 2007, Padma Bhushan in 2001 and Padma Shri in 1984.
