Disha Patani, who is one of Bollywood's current leading ladies, belongs to a family of police officers. Her father Jagdish Patani was reportedly working as a deputy SP in the vigilance unit of the state power department in Uttar Pradesh. Now, as per the latest reports, Jagdish has decided to foray into politics. 

According to a media agency's report, Disha's father took voluntary retirement from Uttar Pradesh Police services and has expressed his desire to contest in the upcoming Mayor's elections in Bareilly city. Reportedly, his hoardings have come up at various locations in the city.

When asked by reporters, Disha's father said that he has been offered the ticket by a few parties but he is checking his options before making a decision.

Workwise, Disha was last seen in Ek Villain Returns.
