Akshay Kumar has slammed an online portal for spreading false news about him. The news website had claimed that the actor owns a private jet worth Rs 260 crore. Sharing a screenshot of the story along with a popular nursery rhyme from childhood, Akshay called out the online portal for spreading fake news about him and misleading his fans.
Akshay wrote, “Liar, Liar…pants on fire! Heard this in childhood? Well, some people have clearly not grown up, and I’m just not in a mood to let them get away with it. Write baseless lies about me, and I’ll call it out. Here, a Pants on Fire (POF) gem for you. (thumbs down emoji) #POFbyAK.”

The actor’s fans also supported the actor and took to the comments section of his social media profile to stand by the actor. A fan commented, “Arey sir aise kon expose karta hai, nice to see your aggressive mood after long time." Another shared his meme from his hit comedy film Hera Pheri and asked, “Can we keep Pants on Fire at the same level with “jali Naa...teri jali na"? One more fan shared his still from the film Rowdy Rathore and wrote, “Akki sir is in rowdy mood today!”
Since the superstar is one of the most bankable stars in the industry and does multiple projects a year, speculations about his fee and such keeps on coming up in the media. However, this is probably the first time Akshay has called out a news report for spreading lies. Meanwhile on the work front, Akshay has several lucrative projects in his kitty including OMG! Oh My God 2, Capsule Gill, Gorkha, Ram Setu, Selfiee, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan etc.
