Amid Myositis treatment, Samantha Ruth Prabhu hits back at reports claiming she has 'a life-threatening condition', says 'I am not dying anytime soon'

Samantha Ruth Prabhu kickstarted the promotion of her upcoming film Yashoda amid her ongoing treatment for Myositis. The actress opened up about being diagnosed with the autoimmune condition on October 29 through an Instagram post. Now, while promoting Yashoda, Samantha spoke about the treatment and recovery phase. The actress also hit back at reports claiming she has 'a life-threatening condition'.

In an interview for Yashoda, Samantha told, "As I said earlier, there are some good days and there are some bad days. On some days, getting up from bed is difficult. And on some days, I want to fight. Slowly, the days I want to fight are becoming more. It's been three months now. I want to clarify that I am not dying anytime soon. I saw many articles that I have a life-threatening condition. No, I don't. It's an autoimmune condition. It's draining and tiring. I've always been a fighter and I will fight."

She further shared, "I wish I wanted to say that I used the time productively. It was dark times and very difficult. With high-dose medications and never-ending trips to doctors, my day was occupied. It's okay if you cannot use every day productively. It's okay to fail sometimes. It's okay to not be your best all the time. You can be vulnerable and sick."

In her Instagram post, Samantha wrote, "A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days…. physically and emotionally…. and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery. I love you.. ♥ THIS TOO SHALL PASS."

Reportedly, her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya and his father Nagarjuna were supposed to visit her at the hospital after learning about her Myositis diagnosis. However, reports claim that they couldn't meet her personally but did talk to her on a phone call.
