Veteran film and television star Vikram Gokhale is still in a critical condition. The actor, popularly known for his roles in films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, was hospitalized earlier. Vikram was admitted to a private hospital in Pune following health complications, doctors had said. The actor's wife Vrushali Gokhale has now shared a health update. She has informed that the doctors are doing their best, but the veteran actor is ‘not responding to the treatment as expected’. 

“Vikram Gokhale is critical since the last 24 hours. Doctors are trying their best. He is not responding to the treatment as expected. He has multiple organ failures,” Vrushali said as per ANI.

Earlier, Vrushali Gokhale had said that Vikram Gokhale was on ventilator after he slipped into coma. "He slipped into coma yesterday afternoon and post that, he has not responded to touch. He is on ventilator. Doctors will decide tomorrow morning what to do, depending on whether he's improving, sinking or still not responding. He improved a bit but slipped again. He has had a host of issues, like in heart and kidney. At the moment, he has had a multi-organ failure,” she had said.

Amid his ongoing treatment, there were reports about the actor passing away. As the news spread like wildfire, the family members of the National Award-winning actor broke their silence and put an end to false speculations.
